This three legged stool was carved by the Lobi artist Sikire Kambire. The stool was used by a Lobi elder with a phallic foot sticking out the center to symblize is status and authority.
Sikire Kambire are one of the few known and well documented artists by name and style in the canon of Lobi African Tribal Art. Kambire's works can be found the Brooklyn Museum.
